HEXIA 2024: INACOM Perkuat Ekosistem Industri Helikopter Nasional

Tangerang, 26 Juni 2024 –Indonesian Aircraft and Component Manufacturer Association (INACOM) unveiled a comprehensive roadmap aimed at developing the national helicopter industry during Heli Expo Asia 2024 (HEXIA) held at Cengkareng Heliport, Tangerang, Indonesia.

This strategic plan was presented by the Chairman of INACOM, Adi Sasongko in HEXIA Business Forum (26/06), focusing on the theme "The Long Road to a National Helicopter Industry Ecosystem". Adi Sasongko outlined INACOM's roadmap for the next five years (2025-2029), which emphasizes establishing a robust foundation for the aircraft and component industry, including the creation of a national helicopter ecosystem.

The roadmap entails enhancing basic component industry capabilities, such as airframe, propulsion, avionics, and aircraft life-cycle. It is also aims to increase INACOM’s involvement in the domestic and international supply chain for aircraft industry components.

Furthermore, INACOM plans to strengthen capabilities in the Small Aircraft market (aircraft under 5,670 kg), which includes Light Aircraft/Experimental (uncertified), Trainer Aircraft 2-4 seater Single & Double Engine (Certified), and Light Helicopter markets.

The Chairman of INACOM added that the market value of Small Aircraft globally is very significant, estimated up to 11 billion USD. Therefore this industrial ecosystem has the potential to grow the economy by 3% of the global market value and absorb a workforce of 25,000-100,000 workers.

This roadmap implementation will focus on developing and enhancing the precision components industry fostering dual-use (civil and defense), proliferation of aircraft in the national economy that are more affordable and more accessible, creating educated and highly skilled jobs, as well asexpanding industry-based export markets with additional high value. This is supported by technology-based industries and the defense industry and it is hoped that mastering the capabilities of the Small Aircraft industry can increase national pride, increase economic value and realize independence in defense technology.
